The upcoming InnoTrans 2026 event, scheduled for September at the Berlin exhibition centre, is set to be the most international edition in its history, according to event director Kerstin Schulz.

‘We have never been as international as we are this year,’ Schulz said, highlighting the expected participation of delegations from 18 countries and exhibitors from around 60 nations. She emphasised the importance of direct exchange for driving innovation forward.

National stands will be present from Malaysia, South Korea, Portugal, Denmark, Hungary, Belgium, Finland, Taiwan, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine. The Australasian Railway Association will represent Australia and New Zealand jointly, while the UK’s Railway Industry Association and Spain’s Mafex will organise collective stands. Business France will have two large joint stands, and Japan’s JORSA will occupy an entire hall.

Around 50 exhibitors from the United States are confirmed, including major players such as Progress Rail, Wabtec, and Amsted Rail. Notably, the California High-Speed Rail Authority, which has sent representatives to InnoTrans for many years, will have its own stand this year. The Federal Railroad Administration will also attend.

China will be represented by companies including CRRC, the China Academy of Railway Sciences, and metro body CAMET. Large delegations from Brazil and Colombia are travelling from South America, and participants from Africa will include Moroccan national railway ONCF.

According to railwaygazette.com, the record international participation underscores the global rail industry’s commitment to collaboration and innovation. InnoTrans continues to serve as a key platform for networking and business development across the sector.
